Dameon D. Welch-Abernathy

Dameon D. Welch-Abernathy, widely known as “PhoneBoy”, is the guy behind the old PhoneBoy FireWall-1 FAQ that thousands of Check Point customers used back in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He is also the author of Essential Check Point FireWall-1 NG: An Installation, Configuration, and Troubleshooting Guide and has nearly two decades of experience in IT and Information Security.

PhoneBoy is currently a Security Architect for Check Point Software Technologies. He provides security architecture design and consults on product integration for Check Point’s sales teams worldwide. He also, on occasion, blogs his own thoughts on Information Security here.
